Eligibility Criteria for University of Abuja Distance Learning Admission
If you are seeking admission into the specified ODL programmes of the Centre for Distance Learning and Continuing Education of the University of Abuja, you must possess the following:
O’Level Route:
A minimum of five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two (2) sittings in the relevant subjects from any recognized examination bodies such as SSCE/WASC, GCE ‘O’ Level, NECO, NABTEB or TC II. Two’ A’ Level passes with a minimum of five ‘O’ level credit passes in relevant subjects.
Direct Entry (DE) Route:
Direct Entry (DE) applicants must have at least four (4) credits including English Language and mathematics in SSCE or NECO in not more than two sittings and at least two passes in ‘A’ level G.C.E or Diploma at Upper Credit level or 10 points in Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB). NCE holders with a minimum of Ten points pass obtained from a recognized institution in addition to five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes as in (i) above can also be considered.
- A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division
- NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter
- Five O’Level credits including English Language and Mathematics (where applicable)
- Official transcripts from your previous institution
- Two academic references
Some programmes may require relevant work experience or a first degree in a related discipline.
he requirements for PGD programmes tend to be more flexible:
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least a Third Class or HND with Lower Credit
- NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter
- Five O’Level credits including English Language
- Official transcripts

- Log in again using your application number and surname as your password.
